Brian Wornow

Nathan Mittag is a director in the financial services group at Piper Sandler.

Previously, he was a director in the investment banking group of Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P. where he advised the boards and senior management of financial institutions on strategic matters, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, capital financing and other balance sheet initiatives. During his career, Mittag has advised on more than 60 bank and thrift merger and capital raise transactions valued in excess of $7 billion.

Prior to joining Sandler O’Neill in 2014, Mittag was a vice president for Keefe, Bruyette & Woods in their investment banking group advising financial services companies. Mittag began as an investment banking analyst at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods in 2007.

Mittag graduated cum laude from Bucknell University with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He played varsity baseball at Bucknell and played professionally overseas.
