Abhi Rao

Abhi Rao is a director in the Piper Sandler healthcare investment banking group. Rao has significant public company M&A experience, and has executed a range of transactions, such as take-privates including club deals, buy/sell-side bilateral negotiations and auctions, divestitures, Chapter 11 restructurings and capital markets deals, for example, IPOs, follow-ons and leveraged finance offerings.

Prior to joining Piper Sandler in 2021, Rao was a member of the healthcare investment banking groups at Barclays and UBS.

Abhi holds a bachelor’s degree in cell and molecular biology, as well as a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Michigan.
