Alexis Zappala
Alexis Zappala joined the Pittsburgh office of Piper Sandler in January 2012. Zappala works as a managing director in the public finance group where she handles various investment banking duties. During her time at the firm she has worked with clients in transportation, education, water and sewer, energy and real estate.
Prior to joining the firm, Zappala worked in as a vice president in the asset management group of Goldman Sachs and Co. where she was responsible for originating and managing institutional cash management clients in a 17-state territory consisting of Fortune 500 companies across multiple industries; municipalities and not-for-profit organizations with assets in excess of $5 billion. Also, during her tenure at Goldman, Zappala spent time in the investment management group by crossing internal regulatory firewalls to liaise with investment banking division on non-public cross-divisional institutional investment management opportunities. Lastly, Zappala began her career at Goldman in the fixed income group where she sold individual money market securities to multi-billion dollar money managers including commercial paper, CDs, repo and reverse repo, treasury bills and notes, mortgage and asset backed securities.
Zappala received a bachelor’s degree in American studies and computer applications from the University of Notre Dame where she graduated cum laude.
