Andrew Deming
Andrew Deming is a managing director at Piper Sandler and a member of the high-yield and structured products team. In this role, he works on structuring, underwriting, distributing and trading non-rated, fixed income products.
Before returning to Piper Sandler in 2022, Deming was a senior managing director and head of sales and trading at JLL Real Estate Capital. While at JLL, he focused on financing multifamily housing, and he structured and sold over $20 billion in agency CMBS transactions. Prior to that, Deming worked as a vice president at a financial software firm that developed an interest-rate derivative application. He also worked at Piper Sandler from 2003-2008 in public finance investment banking and in the municipal derivatives group.
Deming earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Minnesota State University at Mankato, where he graduated with summa cum laude honors. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Additionally, Deming is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He also serves as a member of the investment subcommittee of the finance committee at Hennepin Healthcare System.
