Andy Schmidt is a managing director and taxable municipal trader at Piper Sandler. In this role, he focuses on trading maturities outside of ten years, as well as California credits.
Schmidt joined Piper Sandler with its acquisition of Seattle Northwest Securities in 2013. Prior to his time at Seattle Northwest Securities, he served as head of operations and compliance for a small Seattle broker-dealer.
Schmidt graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in economics.
