Andy Jones

Andy Jones is a managing director in the services & industrials investment banking group.

Jones focuses on advising private equity firms, entrepreneurs and corporate clients on mergers & acquisitions transactions. Prior to joining Piper Sandler, Jones worked as a managing director in the commercial and industrial group at BB&T Capital Markets where he advised on sell-side M&A transactions with aggregate transaction value over $2.6 billion. He has diverse experience across subsectors, including niche engineered products manufacturers, e-commerce distributors and utility/telecom service companies.

Prior to his investment banking experience, Jones spent nine years in the sports media industry and was an award-winning broadcaster, including being named Ohio’s Best Sportscaster by the Associated Press in 2005.

Jones was a Dean’s Scholar at Wake Forest University, where he received his Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in finance. Jones also earned a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University.
