Anthony M. Gatto

Anthony M. Gatto is a fixed income managing director and head of the public entities group at Piper Sandler.

Prior to joining the firm in 2012, Gatto worked as an institutional fixed income salesperson at several companies, including Citi Group, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers. In each of these roles, he has been a product generalist, and he is well-versed in nearly all fixed income products.

Gatto received his bachelor’s degree from SUNY Buffalo, where he was a four-year letterman and defensive captain of the football team. He also earned his Master of Business Administration degree in finance from the NYU Stern School of Business.

He has locally volunteered as a firefighter at the Halesite Fire Department for more than 10 years, and he is active with numerous charitable organizations. He currently serves on the board of the John Theissens Children’s Foundation.
