Caitlin Powers is a director in the chemicals & materials group at Piper Sandler. Prior to Piper Sandler, Powers worked at The Valence Group, a boutique investment bank focused on chemicals & materials M&A that was acquired by Piper Sandler in 2020.

Over her career, Powers has advised on more than 25 completed M&A transactions totaling over $40 billion for a wide variety of clients, including major publicly-listed corporations, private companies and private equity firms in North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Representative transactions include the acquisition of Akzo Specialty Chemials (nka Nouryon) by The Carlyle Group, the acquisition of Huntsman’s Ethylene Oxide and downstream derivates business by Indorama Ventures, the sale of Canexus Corporation to Chemtrade Logistics and Platinum Equity’s acquisition of Solenis followed by a merger with Sigura.

Caitlin earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialization in finance from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at The University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.
