Caspar Bentinck is a managing director in the financial services group at Piper Sandler. He has extensive financial industry experience with a specific focus on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising for banks and thrifts.
Previously, he was a managing director in the investment banking group of Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P. Based out of the firm’s San Francisco office, he helped raise over $100B globally in the debt and equity capital markets and advised on some of the largest bank mergers in the Western region.
Prior to joining Sandler O’Neill, Bentinck was head of Western U.S. Financials and head of FIG Capital Markets at Jefferies LLC. Before that, he was a managing director at BofA Merrill Lynch in the capital markets team for eight years. He began his career at Lehman Brothers on the debt syndicate desk from 1997 to 2005, where he focused on investment grade issuances in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
Bentinck was born and raised in England until moving to the U.S. to get his bachelor’s degree at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by earning his Masters of Business Administration degree at NYU Stern.
