Chip McCarthy is a managing director in the Piper Sandler public finance office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. McCarthy handles investment banking duties and is responsible for analytical support for water and sewer, school districts, local government, health care, higher education and infrastructure financings. His experience includes over $2 billion in municipal financings.
Prior to joining the firm, McCarthy worked in the investment banking department of H-T Capital Markets and Commerce Capital Markets/A.H. Williams where he was responsible for all of the analytical duties of the Pittsburgh office. McCarthy also previously worked in the Trust Division of PNC’s Private Bank Department, where he helped administrate and co-manage over $30 million in Trust assets.
McCarthy received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Washington & Jefferson College and an Master of Business Administration degree with Beta Gamma Sigma Honors from Duquesne University’s John F. Donahue Graduate School of Business.
