David Frazier
David Frazier is a managing director in the loan strategies group at Piper Sandler. His primary responsibilities include working with the firm’s fixed income and investment banking groups to provide whole loan analysis and trading support to valued customers.
Prior to joining Piper Sandler, Frazier was vice president and senior loan specialist in the capital assets division at FHN Financial, a fixed income sales, trading and strategies firm servicing approximately 4,600 institutional customers in more than 40 countries, with an average daily trading volume of approximately $7.9 billion. Within the capital assets division, he specialized in trading loan participation and whole loan portfolios across all asset classes for credit unions, banks and funds. The loan products he traded include commercial, consumer and jumbo and conforming 1-4 residential mortgages.
Before FHN, Frazier spent seven years working in fixed income capital markets at Raymond James, where his primary focus was providing balance sheet management solutions to senior executives at depository institutions. He worked in structuring, evaluating and executing whole loan and securities investment strategies, tailored for the short- and long-term goals and risk profiles of each customer.
Frazier holds a bachelor’s degree in managerial finance with an emphasis on investment analysis from the University of Mississippi. He holds the FINRA SIE, Series 7, Series 63 registrations.
