Eric Van Dam

Eric Van Dam is a managing director on the services & industrials investment banking team. He is based out of the firm’s Birmingham, Michigan office.

Van Dam joined Piper Sandler from TD Cowen where he was a managing director and head of residential and commercial services. Prior to TD Cowen, Van Dam led a variety of middle market mergers and acquisitions engagements at Quarton International; and previously, he was at Kingdon Capital Management, a New York-based long/short equity hedge fund. Prior to Kingdon Capital Management, Van Dam was at Vestar Capital Partners, a New York-based private equity firm. Additionally, Van Dam has held positions at Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers in the Leveraged Finance Group.

Van Dam graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and received his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan.
