Frank Blanco is a managing director in the financial services group at Piper Sandler.
Previously, he was a managing director in the investment banking group of Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P. providing strategic advice, M&A advisory and capital raising services to depository institutions.
Prior to joining Sandler O'Neill in September of 2014, Blanco was most recently a managing director for Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, where he worked from 2003 to 2014 in their investment banking division advising financial services companies. Blanco began his investment banking career at Lehman Brothers, where he worked from 1998 through 2003 in their financial institutions and technology group.
Blanco has advised on more than 70 transactions valued in excess of $10 billion for banks, thrifts, and finance companies. Advisory assignments have included buy and sell-side merger and acquisitions engagements, as well as takeover defense and evaluation of strategic objectives. Capital offerings have included primary and secondary offerings of common stock, capital securities, and senior and subordinated debentures.
Blanco graduated summa cum laude from Boston College with a bachelor’s degree in finance.
