Gregory Hagen
Greg Hagen is a managing director in the fixed income group at Piper Sandler. In this role, he serves the institutional investment needs for public entities, money managers, financial institutions, non-profits and corporations, both public and private.
He began his career at Piper Sandler in 1995 as an agency and corporate bond trader focused on identifying specific investment opportunities for the firm’s investment clients. After spending 10 years trading taxable fixed income products, he transitioned to directly serving the investment needs of institutional clients throughout the Western United States. Currently, he and his Portland-based team serve institutional investment clients in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Arizona, California and Alaska. The team’s specific focus on providing efficient and affordable access to institutional capital markets and world-class analytics and research, coupled with tailored, high-touch service, differentiates Piper Sandler’s investment services from competitors.
Hagen graduated from Oregon State University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and a minor in macro-economics. He holds five FINRA securities licenses, including Series 24 – General Securities Principal, Series 53 – Municipal Securities Principal, and Series 65 – Uniform Investment Adviser. In addition to serving institutional investment clients in his role at Piper Sandler, he also volunteers as the treasurer for Operation Spartan Flags, a non-profit organization focused on reducing suicide and the effects of PTSD for veterans by creating opportunities and networks where they can develop a new skill in an environment where camaraderie and support prevail.
