James Armstrong

James Armstrong is a managing director in the financial strategies group at Piper Sandler. In this role, he helps to develop and implement software solutions that are used to analyze and model client investment portfolios and balance sheets.

Previously, Armstrong was the head of the fixed income operations group at Sandler O’Neill & Partners, L.P. Prior to joining Sandler O’Neill in 2004, he had a career in technology, including acting as a senior systems and network administrator for Man Financial, Inc.

Armstrong received a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Phoenix and holds the Series 7 General Securities Representative, Series 24 General Securities Principal and Series 53 Municipal Securities Principal licenses.
