James Furey
James Furey is a managing director in the financial services capital raising group at Piper Sandler. His responsibilities include working with issuers and investors to analyze, structure, and execute a broad range of both debt and equity capital market transactions.
Furey joined Piper Sandler through the firm’s acquisition of Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P., which he joined in June 2009. During his 10-year tenure at Sandler O’Neill + Partners L.P., he focused on executing bank recapitalizations post-Great Recession, advising the U.S. Department of the Treasury on the disposal of ~$4.0 billion in TARP assets, and marketing and executing numerous public and private debt and equity capital markets transactions in the financial services industry.
Furey graduated cum laude from Seton Hall University with a bachelor’s degree in finance.
