James Sampson

Jim Sampson is a managing director in fixed income municipal sales at Piper Sandler. In this role, he is responsible for covering large, Institutional money managers, such as mutual funds, insurance companies and hedge funds. Since joining the firm in 2015, Sampson has been also been a key contributor to the firm’s mentorship program by helping younger sales professionals attain their career goals.

Before joining Piper Sandler, Sampson held several leadership roles, including national sales manager and head of capital markets at Advest and Lebenthal, respectively. Prior to that, he was a producing salesman at several other firms.

Sampson graduated from Manhattan College with a bachelor's degree in accounting.
