Joe Kinder
Joe Kinder is a managing director and co-head of the Missouri public finance team at Piper Sandler. He focuses his practice on crafting innovative and creative solutions to the complex financial and capital needs of his public school clients in Missouri.
Prior to joining Piper Sandler, Kinder was a managing director at Stifel Financial Corp. and a senior vice president at George K. Baum & Company. Kinder has spent 17 years working extensively with Missouri school districts and other governmental issuers on financial matters, bond elections, budget management and the issuance of bonds to fund capital projects. Prior to his public finance career, he worked at Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP, an international law firm, as a contract attorney.
Kinder received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Dartmouth College and holds a Juris doctorate from the University of Missouri in Columbia. He enjoys serving his community and loves to volunteer at his children’s school, as well as help his wife in her service mission as a board member for Job One, an organization that provides employment and community support services for individuals with disabilities in the Kansas City area.
