Joe Morgan

Joe Morgan is a managing director in the technology investment banking group at Piper Sandler, based in California.

Morgan was previously the co-head of technology investment banking at D.A. Davidson. In his time at D.A. Davidson, he executed on the firm’s growth initiative in technology, increasing headcount and revenue more than five and ten-fold, respectively. While at D.A. Davidson, Morgan completed over 60 M&A and capital raising assignments for public and private companies comprising nearly $26 billion in value. He has over 20 years of experience working with software companies and has sold companies to nearly every large software consolidator; Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, Intuit, IBM and ServiceNow. Morgan has long had a focus and passion for vertical market software, specifically companies touching on and enhancing the built world – the intersection between construction and real estate.

Morgan earned a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was a member and team captain of the varsity swim team.
