John Freechack

John Freechack is a managing director in the financial services group at Piper Sandler. With more than 15 years of financial services experience as both an investment banker and a commercial banker, Freechack brings extensive knowledge of the regional and community bank sector. He concentrates on M&A and capital raising in the banking sector, primarily in the upper Midwest, and has completed more than 50 transactions totaling over $4 billion in deal value.
Prior to Joining Piper Sandler, Freechack served as a director at River Branch Capital LLC. Before joining River Branch, he spent seven years at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, Inc. in the investment banking group. Freechack previously worked for a regional commercial bank where he was involved in acquisitions, finance and lending.
Freechack received a bachelor’s degree in finance and international studies from Indiana University and an Master of Business Administration degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
