John Miller

John Miller is a managing director at Piper Sandler, serving as the chief operating officer of fixed income. Miller joined the firm in 1990, and his experience includes sales, trading, underwriting and sales management.

Prior to joining Piper Sandler, Miller was a vice president in municipal trading at George K. Baum and Company.

Miller graduated in 1982 from Drake University with bachelor’s degrees in accounting and corporate finance. He serves as vice chair for the Bond Dealers of America and has held several different leadership roles at Drake University, including former chairman and president of the National Alumni Board. He currently serves as a member of the Drake University Board of Trustees.
