John Pyne

John S. Pyne, CFA is a managing director in the financial institutions group at Piper Sandler. He works with financial institutions to develop and execute strategic alternatives that include balance sheet restructurings, capital raises and mergers & acquisitions. Pyne advises companies in the depository, asset management, insurance, specialty finance and real estate space.

Prior to joining Piper Sandler, Pyne had worked at Sandler O’Neil & Partners, L.P. since 2007. He also worked at Bloomberg L.P., a leading financial data company.

Pyne holds a bachelor's degree in English from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a CFA charter holder and a member of the CFA Society New York.
