Karina Mayer

Karina Mayer is a member of the economics research team at Piper Sandler. Prior to joining the firm, she was a managing director at International Strategy and Investment Group (ISI). Mayer has worked side by side with Nancy Lazar for the past 19 years, focusing primarily on global macro analysis. She started her career at the iconic Data Resources (later DRI/McGraw Hill) analyzing the maritime sector, including merchandise trade and vessel capacity. She graduated from American University, School of International Service, with a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance.
