Kevin O’Keefe is a managing director in the financial services group at Piper Sandler & Co.
O’Keefe provides investment banking advisory services to the firm’s financial services clients, including banks and thrifts of all sizes, specialty finance companies, and financial technology companies, in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, capital management and funding strategies, defense and corporate strategies.
Previously, O’Keefe was a principal of Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P. He began his career in Sandler O’Neill’s investment banking group in 1996 in the firm’s New York headquarters. In 2004, he moved to the newly established Atlanta office to strengthen the firm’s investment banking practice in the Southeast.
O’Keefe’s career spanning 25 years includes advisory and transaction experience for Piper Sandler clients across most geographies in the U.S. He has assisted his clients in the execution of all forms of capital raising transactions, including initial public offerings, public and private equity offerings, debt and preferred offerings, mutual-to-stock conversions, and recapitalizations. In addition, his M&A advisory background includes a wide array of merger transactions, including buy-side and sell-side whole company acquisitions, branch and business line acquisitions and divestitures, and complex distressed transactions.
O’Keefe holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
