Lauren MacMillan
Lauren MacMillan joined Piper Sandler in 2009, and currently specializes in working with Oregon cities, counties and school districts to determine the short-term and long-term financing strategies which meet their needs. She began working in the public finance industry in 2006. MacMillan performs and presents issuers with the analytical information they need to evaluate various bond issue structuring options including levy rate impacts and debt service repayment options. She is involved with all stages of the bond issuance process including the review of official statements, credit analysis, rating presentations and credit enhancement strategies, the execution of public offerings and closing activities.
MacMillan is genuinely committed to Oregon’s public finance community. She regularly presents at conferences on a variety of topics including, continuing disclosure, refundings, bond basics, local option, Oregon’s property tax system and hot topics in bonds. MacMillan serves on committees for the Oregon Government Finance Officers’ Association and Oregon Association of School Business Officials.
Prior to joining Piper, MacMillan was a public finance associate with Stone & Youngberg in Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated from the University of Arizona with bachelors’ degrees in finance and French.
