Matt Brunner

Matt Brunner is a managing director in the financial strategies group at Piper Sandler & Co., where he works with financial institutions in the areas of balance sheet management, asset liability management, and strategic business planning. Brunner previously worked in Sandler O’Neill & Partners, L.P.’s fixed income strategy group where he advised on financial institution investment portfolios.

Prior to joining Sandler O’Neill & Partners, L.P. in 2011, Brunner spent two years as an equity research analyst at Meredith Whitney Advisory Group, after starting his career at Bank of America as an analyst in the equity research department.

Brunner holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas.
