Matt Monaco

Matt Monaco is a managing director on the Piper Sandler fixed income trading team. He leads the U.S. Small Business Administration (“SBA”) 7(a) loan platform at the firm.

Prior to joining Piper Sandler, Monaco was the president and chief executive officer at Memphis Capital where he was responsible for building and managing SBA related businesses. He has spent most of his career trading SBA and United States Department of Agriculture ("USDA") loans as well as structuring SBA pools. Monaco brings more than 25 years of experience in the government-guaranteed loan sector.

Monaco graduated with his bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration from Rhodes College and Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Memphis. He holds Series 7, Series 63, Series 65 and Series 24 registrations.
