Matt Traina is a managing director in the Piper Sandler financial sponsors group. He is located in the firm’s San Francisco office.
Prior to joining Piper Sandler, Traina spent the majority of his 15-year investment banking career at Banc of America Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse. Traina has worked with private equity clients across a variety of industry sectors and has extensive transaction history in capital raising—both public and private debt and equity issuances—as well as numerous M&A advisory assignments.
Traina graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English and economics from Middlebury College and received a Master of Business Administration degree from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
