Michael Burton-Williams
Michael Burton-Williams is an executive director in the healthcare group at Piper Sandler, having joined the firm in 2012.
He has over ten years of experience in biopharma investment banking and is responsible for analytics and deal execution across the full spectrum of investment banking transaction types. Prior to joining Piper Sandler, Burton-Williams worked as an associate at Barclays Plc in the healthcare investment banking group. Prior to his banking career, he practiced internal medicine at North Shore Medical Center in Salem, MA, where he treated hospitalized patients and trained medical interns and residents.
Burton-Williams received his bachelor’s degree from Concordia University in Montreal. He also holds an M.D. from Brown University (through the Brown-Dartmouth Medical Program), an M.P.H. from the Harvard School of Public Health and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
