Michael Lund
Michael Lund is a senior vice president in the public finance investment banking group, specializing in special district and tax increment financings. Lund serves districts at all stages of development, from early infrastructure financings through built out, investment grade rated projects.
Prior to joining Piper Sandler, Lund was a director at Stifel, where he focused on a wide range of credits, including lease-based transaction, development districts and revenue issues. He started his career in public finance in 2002 as an analyst for Piper Jaffray (now Piper Sandler). He worked for the firm for the first 14 years of his career, moving up from the analyst position to a senior vice president role.
Lund is the president of the Vista Ridge Metropolitan District board of directors. He is a former vice president of the Colorado Municipal Bond Dealers Association and treasurer for the Broomfield Youth Soccer Club board of directors.
Lund earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
