Michael Stanton

Michael Stanton is a managing director and fixed income trader at Piper Sandler. In this role, he trades hybrid and preferred securities on the credit desk.

Prior to joining the firm in 2021, Stanton worked for Morgan Stanley for 15 years, where he traded interest rates for five years and credit for ten years, including investment grade banks, financials and hybrid/preferred securities.

Stanton graduated from the University of Scranton in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in finance and electronic commerce. He is a CFA charter holder and a charted market technician.
