Michael Tsangarides
Michael Tsangarides is a managing director in the chemicals group at Piper Sandler.
Previously he was a director at The Valence Group, focused on providing investment banking services to public and private clients in the broader chemicals and materials sectors.
Tsangarides has more than 14 years of experience and been involved in over 100 engagements primarily for corporate finance and merger & acquisition advisory.
Engagements have included sell-sides and buy-sides with debt and equity raise components, for a broad range of deal values starting at c. $100m to greater than $100 billion (defence of Rio Tinto).
Prior to joining The Valence Group, Tsangarides spent over eight years in the industrials, metals and mining sector teams within the investment banking arm of Rothschild & Co.
He earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in economics and management at the University of Oxford and a master’s degree in finance and economics from the London School of Economics & Political Science.
