P. Richard Tuohey Jr. is a managing director in the financial services group at Piper Sandler.
Previously, he was a principal of Sandler O’Neill & Partners, L.P. He joined the firm in 1998, was appointed associate director in 2002 and managing director in 2003. Tuohey worked with the firm’s commercial bank and thrift clients in the areas of asset/liability management, balance sheet restructuring and strategic business planning. He relocated to San Francisco in January 2004 to help further expand Sandler O’Neill’s presence on the West Coast.
Prior to working at Sandler O’Neill, Tuohey founded a new media development and consulting firm that he sold in 1996.
Tuohey holds a bachelor’s degree in business/economics from Brown University.
