Paul Scansaroli

Paul Scansaroli is a managing director and head of healthcare equity capital markets. Prior to his current role, Scansaroli was co-head of healthcare equity capital markets. He has 19 years of equity capital markets experience, focused exclusively on growth healthcare companies as well as the institutional/venture funds that invest in the sector. 

Prior to joining Piper Sandler in 2019, Scansaroli was a managing director and co-head of healthcare equity capital markets at Barclays where he drove significant growth in the firm’s life sciences equity practice. Scansaroli joined Barclays in 2008 following the acquisition of Lehman Brothers, where he began his investment banking career. Over the course of his career, Scansaroli has raised over $60 billion of proceeds for clients through approximately 200 equity/equity-linked offerings, including over 100 active book run life sciences transactions since 2014. Prior to investment banking, Scansaroli spent several years as a CPA in Deloitte’s audit practice.

Scansaroli received his Master of Business Administration degree from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Boston College.
