Peter Buck

Peter Buck is a managing director in the financial services group at Piper Sandler.

Previously, he was a managing director in the investment banking group of Sandler O’Neill & Partners, L.P. where he provided merger and acquisition, capital raising and overall strategic planning advice for financial institutions nationwide. While with Sandler O’Neill, Buck helped clients structure over 50 M&A transactions and was involved in numerous capital raising transactions. 

Recent representative transactions include Blackhawk Network Holdings, Inc.’s $3.5 billion sale to Silver Lake and P2 Capital Partners, Community West Bancshares’ $100 million merger with Central Valley Community Bancorp, American River Bankshares’ $135 million sale to Bank of Marin Bancorp, SoFi’s acquisition of Golden Pacific Bancorp and FinWise Bancorp’s $42 million IPO.

Buck graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
