Peter Hall
Peter Hall is head of corporate development and European investment banking at Piper Sandler.
Hall was one of the founding partners of the Valence Group, and is a 30-year veteran investment banker and has focused exclusively on M&A transactions in the chemicals and materials sector globally for the last 28 years. He has advised on over 100 transactions across Europe, North America and Asia and his experience, gained through multiple industry cycles, encompasses both commodity and specialty chemicals and materials. His experience includes many multi-billion dollar transactions on both sides of the Atlantic.
Having developed deep expertise in chemicals M&A at various major global investment banking firms, Hall founded The Valence Group in 2008. As a managing partner he developed The Valence Group into the world’s premier chemicals investment bank with a client base consisting of many of the world’s leading chemical companies including Dow, DuPont, Ineos, Solvay, DSM, Evonik, ChemChina and Shin Etsu.
Prior to co-founding The Valence Group, Hall ran Bear Stearns' European Chemicals Investment Banking practice, and was also previously European Head of Chemicals M&A at Chase Manhattan.
Hall earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Polytechnic of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in England and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from City University Business School.
