Rachel Marshak is the head of convertibles at Piper Sandler. In this role, she oversees all convertibles sales and trading, positions and trades a portion of the firm’s balance sheet, and is also responsible for the distribution of new issue convertibles. During her time at Piper Sandler, the firm has underwritten $17.5 billion of convertible issuance. Marshak is a frequent guest of the firm’s executive financial risk committee and was previously a member of the financial risk committee.
Prior to working at Piper Sandler, Marshak was a managing director at Credit Suisse, where she ran convertible trading and was once the No. 1 ranked trader of REIT Convertibles, as well as the No. 2 ranked trader of Mandatories. Prior to that, she was a vice president in convertibles trading at KBC Bank. She started her career at D.E. Shaw & Co.
Marshak graduated with honors from Stanford University, where she was a President’s Scholar.
