Rick E. Reedy

Rick Reedy is a managing director in the public finance investment banking group at Piper Sandler. Since entering the business in 2013, Reedy has focused on securing additional issuer clients from the K-12 school district market in Texas.
Prior to joining the firm in 2017, Reedy served three Texas school districts as a teacher, coach, principal, assistant superintendent and superintendent culminating with a 17-year tenure as superintendent of the Frisco Independent School District in Frisco, Texas.
In his 43 years in public education and 33 years as a school administrator, Reedy served in leadership roles with the Texas Association of School Administrators, legislative council of the University Interscholastic League, Lone Star Investment Pool Board, Texas Fast Growth Coalition board, Texas Academic Decathlon board and Texas Coalition of Revenue Sharing Districts steering committee. Locally, he served as a board member for the North Texas Medical Center, the Frisco Chamber of Commerce and as chair of the investment advisory council of Region Ten Education Service Center.
Reedy earned a bachelor's degree in English and mathematics as well as a master’s degree in English and secondary and higher education. He earned his doctorate in educational administration, all from Texas A&M – Commerce.
