Rob Freiman
Rob Freiman is a managing director in the technology group at Piper Sandler and helps lead the firm’s financial technology investment banking practice. Freiman brings 15+ years of experience to this role.
Freiman specializes in providing strategic advice to payments, banking technology, financial software, data analytics and AI-driven companies serving the financial services ecosystem. He has advised clients on a wide range of M&A and capital raising transactions, including Rev Worldwide on its carve-out acquisition of Netspend from Global Payments; Parkhub on its sale to LLR; Betterview on its sale to Thoma Bravo / Nearmap; Mindbridge on its recapitalization and a minority equity investment by PSG Equity; The Guarantors on an investment by Portage; HazardHub on its sale to Guidewire; among others. Freiman has also advised on numerous capital raising transactions for publicly-listed and privately-held financial technology companies.
Prior to joining Piper Sandler, Freiman was a managing director at Jefferies, where he co-led the financial technology practice and was head of payments investment banking. Previously, Freiman was a senior financial technology banker at Houlihan Lokey and its predecessor GCA Advisors; he began his career at Citigroup.
Freiman graduated from Dartmouth College with a bachelor’s degree in economics.
