Robert Fornes

Robert Fornes is a managing director in the financial services group at Piper Sandler.

Prior to joining the firm, Fornes was a managing director at Sandler O'Neill and Partners, where he worked with senior management teams of U.S and European financial institutions to develop detailed balance sheet management programs, capital raising, conversions, mergers and acquisitions and strategic planning. Before joining Sandler O’Neill, Fornes was a senior vice president of fixed income at Garban-lntercapital. Prior to that, he was affiliated with Salomon Smith Barney. He received his initial training at Chase Manhattan Bank.

Fornes received his bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance, as well as his Master of Business Administration degree in finance and investments from Bernard Baruch College. He is active with numerous charitable organizations.
