Royce Sharp is a managing director in the financial services group at Piper Sandler. In this role, he focuses on trading below investment-grade credit in mortgage and asset-backed securities.
Sharp was previously a managing director at Amherst Pierpont Securities for over 20 years, where he helped build the credit business in nonagency-backed mortgages. He took on roles trading mainly below investment-grade residential mortgage-backed, asset-backed, and commercial mortgage-backed securities. In addition, Sharp led the firm’s effort to expand its services in non-agency mortgages for non-depository clients.
Sharp holds a bachelor’s degree in science & general studies from the University of Michigan.
