Seth Harward
Seth Harward is a managing director in the merchant banking group, a member of the general partner and serves on the investment committee. Harward has worked in the growth equity investment business since 2008, focusing on the software sector.
Prior to joining Piper Sandler in 2021, Harward was a partner and investment committee member with software-focused Frontier Growth. While at Frontier, Harward was responsible for scaling an origination organization that deployed $1.5 billion in capital across four funds and establishing a leading investment brand within the software sector.
Before joining Frontier in 2008, Harward was the director of business development for the Council for Entrepreneurial Development (“CED”), where he developed and managed strategic relationships with venture capital firms and corporations to benefit the entrepreneurial technology community in North Carolina and throughout the southeast. Prior to joining CED in 2004, Harward was employee number five with then telecom startup Bandwidth Inc. (NASDAQ: BAND).
Harward holds board observation responsibility for portfolio company Apkudo. Harward also currently serves on the board of directors for Mental Health America of Central Carolinas, where he co-chairs the development committee and works to promote mental wellness through advocacy, education and prevention.
Harward graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
