Seth Wagner

Seth Wagner joined Piper Sandler in 2024 and is a senior vice president in public finance investment banking. He brings over 10 years of experience in public finance and works with senior living providers and charter schools across the nation. He has assisted clients with publicly offered bond issues, private placements, bank placements, debt capacity analysis, ratings analysis and strategic planning. He has been the lead banker on transactions ranging in size from $8 million to $205 million.

Wagner has served in a leadership role on over $3 billion in financings over the course of his career. Wagner started his career at BB&T Capital Markets (now Truist Securities) where he was one of the youngest recipients of BB&T’s Annual Sterling Performance Award in 2018 and 2022 – recognizing the performance of the organization’s top 1% of employees. Wagner was a senior vice president at Herbert J. Sims & Co. before joining Piper Sandler.

Wagner graduated with bachelor’s degree in economics and business from Hampden Sydney College in 2014. He is a registered representative and holds his Series 7, 50, 52, 53 and 63 licenses. He serves as a board member of Patrick Henry School of Science & Arts and a past board member of the leadership advisory board of the Greater Richmond Chapter of First Tee.
