Stephen Gregory

Stephen heads the quantitative research team at Piper Sandler and spearheads the research and development of new quantitative tools and concepts. Prior to joining Piper Sandler, Gregory was the head of quantitative research at Cornerstone Macro where he worked since the firm's inception in 2013. Previously, Gregory was a director at Wolfe Trahan & Co. on the portfolio strategy and quantitative research team. Earlier, he spent two years building the quantitative effort at International Strategy and Investment Group (ISI). In 2010, 2011 and 2012, the team's work has been ranked in the Top 3 in Institutional Investor magazine's All-American Research Team for Quantitative Analysis. Gregory also worked in a quantitative capacity at Dreman Value Management and Bear Stearns & Co. Gregory holds a Master of Business Administration degree in financial engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology and also earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Pennsylvania State University.
