Thomas Chiapelas joined Piper Sandler in 1996 and has been a municipal specialist throughout his tenure. He works closely with the firm’s institutional sales group, focusing on insurance companies and investment advisors.
Prior to working with Piper Sandler, Chiapelas worked with Gershman Investment Corp. as the vice president of lending.
Chiapelas graduated from The University of Chicago's Graham School and earned his undergraduate degree from The University of Tulsa's Collins College of Business. Currently, he serves as board chair of Autism Speaks in their St. Louis chapter. He also serves as a board member for the World Pediatric Project, as well as for DeSmet Jesuit High School.
