Tom Zachar
Tom Zachar is a managing director in fixed income sales at Piper Sandler. In this role, he works with middle market clients and tier one asset managers. He focuses on identifying and developing relative value strategies. Zachar’s clients include financial institutions, wealth managers, insurance companies and family offices. In addition, he recently took on additional responsibility to identify relative value ideas in investment grade corporate bonds. He shares these ideas in regular notes sent to both colleagues and clients.
Prior to joining the firm, Zachar worked in fixed income institutional sales for BMO Capital Markets and Griffin, Kubik, Stephens & Thompson, going back to 2001. He was also an institutional equity salesperson at William Blair & Co.
Zachar holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Georgetown University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago. He is a catechist at Sacred Heart church, and he also serves on local park district task force boards.
