Our three-day Spring Week is set to target leading talent, building a strong pipeline of future potential. For those that are successful on the Spring Week programme, you may receive an offer to be fast-tracked for summer analyst position.

As a summer analyst, expect to gain exposure to both buy-side and sell-side transactions. Learning directly from both junior and senior bankers, you will be given the platform to establish your career in investment banking.

What is Spring Week?

This three-day programme has been designed to give students invaluable networking experiences, combined with interactive workshops and case studies. The aim is to provide students a full immersive experience of a potential future with a leading global investment bank. Use this unique opportunity to hear more about career prospects from senior leaders and rising junior professionals at the firm. You will be exposed to all of our sectors, building you a purposeful network for your career path.

For those that are successful on the Spring Week programme, you may receive an offer to be fast-tracked for a 2026 summer internship. Applicants should be either in the first year of a three-year degree or the second year of a four-year degree, graduating in 2027. We encourage applications from students that have a keen interest in finance or business with a strong analytical mind.

The Application & Selection Process

Applications will open in early December 2024, and close mid-to-late January 2025. Candidates must submit a cover letter along with their CV. After reviewing applications on a rolling basis, our recruitment team will invite successful candidates to the next stage will be a video interview powered by HireVue.

Spring Week FAQ

What is our Summer Analyst Programme?

For nine-ten weeks, you will be treated as a core team member from day one, partnering on various projects, including complex transactions. After being assigned to one of our industries, you will embrace the Piper Sandler culture, creating meaningful relationships with your junior and senior bankers.

Our programme is designed to give you an exciting opportunity of the collaborative, demanding, fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment in investment banking.

In starting your journey with Piper Sandler, we support you with one-week inclusive training, supplying you with the necessary tools to succeed. Our mission is to recruit, develop, retain and engage a diverse, high-performing team, therefore a summer analyst position can lead to a full-time placement offer for the following year’s analyst programme after graduation.

As a summer analyst, your key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the preparation of marketing materials
  • Gather and synthesise quantitative and qualitative data
  • Conduct industry and company-specific research and financial analysis
  • Contribute to financial modelling/valuation analysis
  • Project administration and due diligence
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
