BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 2, 2008--Piper Jaffray & Co. strengthened its equity sales and trading team with the addition of Stephen Yamane as managing director. Yamane, who brings more than 20 years experience, will work out of the firm's growing Boston office.

Yamane joins Piper Jaffray from Cowen and Company where he was managing director of equity sales and trading. Prior to that, Yamane was in a similar role at Kidder Peabody/Paine Webber.
